Scholarships for Nuclear Engineers and Scientists
If you are a student wanting to enter the field of nuclear energy as a scientist or engineer, then you may want to know that the U.S Department of Energy is taking applications for $5 million worth of scholarships and fellowships to recruit and train people as nuclear scientists and engineers.
To qualify for this scholarships for engineers and scientists, you must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in two-year, four-year, or graduate engineering and science programs related to nuclear energy at accredited NEUP-accepted universities and colleges; however, students may apply from other universities, provided the university is interested in pursuing affiliation with the government. Current sophomores and above who are U.S. citizens attending U.S. colleges and universities are eligible to apply. And a student who is awarded a scholarship may apply for a scholarship in subsequent years, provided he or she meets eligibility criteria.
The Department of Energy will award scholarships for engineers and scientists in the amount of $5000 and up to $25,000.
