Scholarships Available in Western New York
The Community Foundation Scholarship Program is accepting applications for scholarships. To be eligible for this New York Scholarship, you must be a permanent residents of one of the eight counties of Western New York (college does not have to be located in area), must have been admitted to a nonprofit [501(c)(3)], U.S. Department of Education accredited school in the United States for full-time study at the undergraduate level. Those students who are eligible for the Pell grant will be given a strong preference in the award decision process.
Scholarships available are based on financial need and include the eight counties of: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming and range from $1000 to $6000.
This scholarship program is open to high school students and college students. You must have at least a “C” average (2.0) and must provide a copy of the last two, most recent, grading periods. Official transcripts are not necessary.
