Scholarship Applications Now Available

If you are a Walpole, MA, resident, then be on alert that scholarship applications are now avaialble.

The Walpole Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for the 2010/2011 school year. In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • Be a resident of Walpole, MA.
  • Be in in a full-time program that will lead to a bachelors degree, certification, or associate degree.

This scholarship is based on a combination of merit, personal qualities, and financial need. So, in order to apply, you will need to fill out the FAFSA.

Scholarship applications are now available to high school students and college students. This scholarship is awarded for a maximum of four years and does not apply to graduate students.

Deadline for turning in scholarship applications is February 13, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. Any applications either hand delivered or mailed after this time will not be accepted. And all required documents must be mailed in one envelope.

Scholarships for Army Spouses

The Army Emergency Relief is offering a Stateside Spouse Education Program, which is scholarships to spouses of soldiers who are on active duty or retired from active duty, died while on active duty, or widow of soldier who died while in retired status plus who also reside in the United States.

In order to continue to receive this scholarship, winners must maintain a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

These scholarships are awarded annually, up to four years. This scholarship for army spouses is based on need, so you must fill out the FAFSA in order to apply.
