Scholarships for Military Children
The 2010 scholarship for military children is now accepting applications. In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must be a dependent child under the age of 23 of active duty personnel, reserve/guard and retired military members, or survivors of service members who died while on active duty or survivors of individuals who died while receiving retired pay from the military.
In order to receive one of the scholarships for military children, the applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in am accredited institution, pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in the fall of 2010. If the applicant is enrolled in a community college, then he/she must be in a program that will allow the student to transfer directly into a four-year program.
A minimum of $1500 will be awarded at every commissary location where qualified applications are received. Applications can be mailed or handed in in person, however, cannot be emailed or submitted electronically. This scholarship for military children will be accepting applications until the close of business on February 17, 2010.
