Scholarships for Families of Fallen Soldiers
Fallen Soldiers Scholarships in Missouri
Under a new state scholarship program in Missouri, 25 students will receive scholarships for Families of Fallen Soldiers.
In order to qualify for this fallen soldier scholarship, you must be a child or spouse of a Missouri injured or fallen soldier (soldier either killed or injured in combat after 09/11/2001) and under the age of 25. The Wartime Veterans’ Survivors Grants was created by Missouri lawmakers in 2008.
The scholarship award is based on the student’s tuition cost plus there is also an additional $2000 given for room and board expenses and an additional $500 for books. And as long as you keep a GPA of at least 2.5, the scholarship is renewable.
The Scholarships for Families of Fallen Soldiers does not have a deadline, however, there are only 25 scholarships available yearly and recipients are ranked on a first-come, first-serve basis. So if more than 25 students apply for this scholarship program, them those first 25 will receive the scholarship and others will be put on a waiting list.
