Scholarships through Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America
Here is another Scholarships for Dads and students, through the Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America, for students who are juniors or seniors pursuing a degree in Insurance, Risk Management and Actuarial Science.
The IFSA scholarship ranges from $500 to $5000. And in order to qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree with a major or minor in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science. You must also have already completed your second year of college (either becoming a junior or senior) with successfully completing at least two risk management, insurance or actuarial science courses and possess at least a 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Also, in order to qualify for this insurance scholarship, you cannot be getting a full reimbursement of all of your schooling expenses from an employer or any other source.
In addition to the IFSA scholarship, there is also the Marsh Scholarship Program. The award amount for this insurance scholarship ranges from $500 to $5000 too. The criteria for this scholarship is the same as the criteria for the IFSA scholarship.
But if you have already received your insurance education but are looking for a continuing education, there is also the CPCU Loman Education Foundation Scholarship. This is for those who want to enhance their career by becoming a CPCU, and award amounts can range from $50 to $1,000. To be eligible to apply for this insurance scholarship, you must have worked in the insurance industry for a minimum of two, be studying the CPCU program and not be getting a full reimbursement for school expenses from any source.
