Jewish College Scholarships for Blind Students
The Jewish Guild for the Blind is accepting applications for Jewish College Scholarships.
In order to qualify for this scholarship program, you must be legally blind and mus have a verification of such from a state rehabilitation agency, an ophthalmologistor, or an optometrist. You must also be a US citizen with proof of such and have copies of school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores.
There will be 12 to 16 Jewish College Scholarships awarded in the amount of up to $15,000 each.
The Jewish College Scholarships application and supporting documents must be at The Guild by September 15th (at the beginning of the senior year) with scholarship winners being announced by mid December.
“Scholarship candidates are chosen through an online application process that includes criteria relating to academic excellence, extracurricular activities, community involvement, legal blindness and U.S. citizenship,” as stated in the Press Release.
