Apply for College Scholarships

It is that time of year when scholarships start taking applications for the fall semesters, so if you are searching for some financial aid to help you pay for college then now is the time to start applying. And, if you are a Hispanic student then you need to Apply for College Scholarships now.

These scholarships will be given out to over 500 Hispanic students who are deserving of them. In order to qualify and Apply for College Scholarships, a student must maintain a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the U.S. or Puerto Rico of Hispanic background; be enrolled full-time at an accredited university for the 2010-11 school year and must demonstrate financial needs. There are no age requirements listed on these scholarships, making them a fit for Scholarships for Dads.

The award amount of these scholarships range from a $500 to $10,000.

These college scholarships are arranged by majors but you should Apply for All College Scholarshipsin which you think you are eligible. Plus there is one scholarship specifically for single parents.

Scholarship Available Through RMHC

The Ronald McDonald House Charities are currently accepting applications for the 2010/2011 scholarships and deadline is February 16, 2010. These will be given out by local chapters all across the US and include four different categories of applications. This is a vocational school scholarship as well as a four-year scholarship.

To apply for this scholarship you need to be a currently enrolled high school senior who is eligible to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school with a complete course of study may apply for only one RMHC scholarship program. Applicants must be legal U.S. residents, be less than 21 years of age, have a minimum 2.7 GPA and reside within the geographic boundaries of a participating Chapter that offers scholarships.

RMHC offers four different scholarships including ones for students of Hispanic, African America, and Asian descent. To apply for the RMHC scholarships, visit here and review local guidelines and requirements and download an application. Applications are being accepted until February 16, 2010.
