Dental Student Scholarships in Ohio

If you live in Ohio and plan on entering the dental field either as a dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant, or an expanded function dental assistant, then you need to know about the scholarships for dental students in Ohio.

These scholarships are being offered by the Ohio Dental Association Foundation. These scholarships range from a value of $500 to $1000. In order to qualify, you must be an Ohio resident for the past three years and be accepted into or furthering your educational studies in one of the above dental fields.

Scholarships for Dads who are pursuing a career in the field of special education are being offered by NYSARC and are now accepting applications. So if you are planning a career in the field of special eduction or in the fields of physical or occupational therapy then you may want to apply for these scholarships.

1. Arthur Pense Scholarship – Deadline is January 12, 2010.
2. James Reville Scholarship – Deadline is January 12, 2010.
3. Jonathan Weingold Scholarship – Deadline is January 12, 2010.
4. Joesph Weingold Scholarship – Deadline is January 12, 2010.

NYSARC awards scholarships each year to students in college, who are pursuing an education in the fields of physical or occupational therapy, special education, or a field that is related to developmental and other intellectual disabilities.

NYSARC, Inc was formed in 1949. It all started when two mothers from the Bronx were looking to start a day nursery for their young children. These mothers posted an ad in the New York Times and 200 city parents responded. Subsequently, these parents banded together to fight for the recognition of their children’s special needs and capabilities.
