Texas Builder Scholarship Available
The construction business is typically dominated by men. These type of businesses include fields such as construction, architecture, engineering, electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, surveying, and welding. And since many dads have been laid off during this recession, either due to working in an industry that has been hard hit such as the automotive industry or just suffering a downsizing of a company due to the slow economy, many are seeking those scholarships for dads.
And if you are a resident of Wichita, Archer or Clay counties in Texas, you need to apply before the deadline for the Scholarships for Dads and Students in Construction. This scholarship is not just limited to architecture or engineering majors but also includes all other technical/vocational areas of studies such as plumbing, welding, electrical, etc. And that is just a few.
This scholarship being offered from the North Texas Home Builders Association will be awarded in June. There will be up to five $1000 scholarships given out to graduating high school students and/or current college/vocational students.
