If you are a high school junior and want to get a jump start on searching for available scholarships, then we have found you one. This scholarship program is from Nordstroms and you can win up to $10,000 toward a four-year college education.


In order to qualify for this scholarship program, you must live and attend high school in one of the participating states
designated by Nordstrom. You must also currently be a high school junior, have an unweighted GPA of at least 2.7, have been involved in volunteer and/or community activities, be eligible to attend a four-year US college or university, and plan on applying for financial aid. You also cannot be have any history of being convicted of a crime and if awarded a scholarship, you must be attending a school in the US.

Winning this scholarship for high school juniors will be based on Academic achievement and potential, volunteer/volunteer activities, leadership, school activities, employment, awards/honors, and financial need.

Winners of the scholarship will be awarded up to $10,000, which will be dispersed over four years in equal installments of $2,500. The scholarship will be made payable to the scholar’s institution and checks will be sent to the institution’s Office of Student Financial Aid in August 2012. In most cases the award will be credited to the student’s billing account to be used for educational expenses: tuition,
books, fees, housing, and other costs normally associated with full-time enrollment.

In order to apply for this scholarship program, you must apply before the deadline of May 16, 5:00 p.m., CT.

Scholarships Available from Simon Properties

The Simon Youth Foundation is accepting applications for scholarships being offered to high school students who live near a Simon property. This includes the Simon Malls or Community/Lifestyle Center.

You must be planning to enroll as a full time student no later than the fall of 2010 in an accredited two or four-year college or vocational school.

There will be up to 181 mall awards of $1400, eight community/lifestyle center awards of $1400, and eight Chelsea Premium Outlet awards of $1400.

Winners of the scholarships being offered by Simon Youth Foundation will be based on financial need, academic record, demonstration of leadership in school and the community, etc.

Only the first 6000 applications will be accepted and deadline is January 31, 2010. For more information go here.
